Samson, my tiny Nigerian Dwarf buck!

Christine & Samson

Here’s my latest addition…. A tiny Nigerian Dwarf goat! Samson was a bottle fed kid but although he was weaned when I got him, he still enjoyed his twice daily treat. I continued to do if for a little while just to build that special bond between us.

It was the cutest thing to have him meet me at the barn door with his little tail wagging left & right… One day after feeding him he just turned around and tried to hump a little doe twice his size. That’s when I decided that if he’s old enough for that, he’s too old for a bottle!

I am now on the look-out for more of this “tiny” variety and so for the sake of identification, I have unofficially decided to call these pint size Pygmy goats “Pee Wee Pygmys”! Cute huh?

By the way, when I say little, I mean little. He’s categorized as “tiny” although I don’t think that this distinction is recognized by any association. His parents are about 18 inches high so he shouldn’t be much bigger. He was born 06/08/08

Stay tuned for more updates! Will be shopping for his Delilah!
